THE PERSONALITY OF GOD, THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT
Since we all have personality, the next question we might ask, "Does God
have a personality?"
The human beings God created in the beginning had personality. That same
trait/characteristic and qualities with human beings have been placed in
every person since Adam and Eve. Being called a "person" gives us a common
sense understanding that all of us have personalities of our own. Just as
our DNA is different than all the other human beings, our personality is
different than all other persons. We have personality traits much like
others, but we still are a "Lone Ranger" when it comes to personal
personalities. It is just that, "personal." Your personhood is distinct
and unmatchable.
The personality of a person can be influenced by others (parents, siblings,
friends, teachers, etc.). However, we are the ones that give out the vibes
and actions seen in us by others.
Personality is defined as
"the combination of characteristics or qualities
that form an individual's distinctive character."
Since we all have personality, the next question we might ask, "Does God
have a personality?" Is it obvious? Is it distinct?
The answer of course is "Yes... However, it is a little different than ours!"
God certainly has personality. How do we know? Because it is obviously
seen in the Word of God, the Bible. We don't have to just read about it;
we can feel it, sense it, and observe it in our everyday activities
throughout our lives.
Why is it different than ours? It is seen in the deity of God, the Father,
Jesus, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Three distinct persons of the Trinity;
yet, One in existence since eternity began. Remember, however, God has
always been. There is no beginning and there is no end with our God. Our
minds are not able to comprehend this truth without faith to know it is true.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
With the above information on our minds, let's look at God's personality.
The critic of this article might ask:
"How can God have a personality?"
The Bible states or implies that God is an intelligent, sentient, living
being. (Sentient = Sentience is the capacity to feel, perceive or experience
subjectively; aware of its own existence, and aware that there is a
'big picture').

JESUS, John 10:30
"I and the Father are One." (NIV)
"I and the Father are One." (Revised Standard Version)
"I and My Father are One." (KJV).
"I and the Father be one." (Wycliffe)
"I and the Father are one heart and mind." (The Message)
The above Bible verse means that Jesus has a personality like His Father. Since they are one, why would we want to distinguish between the two? Same traits, but different and distinct reasons for their existence and our existence. The Father gave, the Son gave, and the Holy Spirit gives. Our part is to "give" our lives to Him in accepting His offer of salvation.
The Father was willing to give the blood of His Only Begotten Son. The Son was willing to be obedient to the Father and fulfill the final act of salvation/redemption for mankind. The Holy Spirit brings knowledge and conviction to the recipient of God's grace.
Personalities many times conflict with one another. Not the Trinity! They are in One accord at all times. Since we need to be doing our best to be like Jesus, then we need to be trying, pressing toward the mark to having similar personality traits like Jesus. This would most pleasing to the Father.
Since I want to please the Father and long to hear the Father tell me, "Well done, my good and faithful servant," when I cross the finish line, I am stretching for the finish line with all the gusto I can manage to obtain. It is not a physical thing; it is a spiritual thing. Therefore, I study the Word to show myself approved and to have confidence in knowing where I am going immediately when I depart from this life.
Jesus... Hold my hand... I need thee every hour!
