DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE NEW AGE VIEW OF REALITY & THE CHRISTIAN VIEW

The New Age View of Reality compared to The Christian View.

The New Age View	The Christian View
• Believes the universe began and is evolving as one undivided whole.	• God revealed His glory through His creation
• "God" is simply a part of all that exists	• God is not part of His creation…He is the Creator of His creation. (John 1:1-3; Jeremiah 10:10,11)
• "God" is not personal...	• God is personal…wanting and desiring to be a part of our lives. (Isaiah 43:10)
• A person is divine by nature	• We are sinners by nature (Romans 3:23)
• We are good by nature...therefore needing no Savior other than ourselves.	• We are in desperate need of a Savior (John 3:16 Romans 6:23)
• Must be aware of divine consciousness…apart from which, reincarnation is necessary	• Humanity is lost in trespasses and sin and in need of a spiritual birth to transform our lives (Ephesians 2:1)
• Death is only an illusion	• Death is sure with eternity waiting on the other side (either hell or heaven...one must choose before death). (Revelation 20:11-13; 2 Cor. 5:10; Hebrews 9:27)
• New Agers will control reality, aided by "spirit guides" who help to create a new heaven and new earth.	• The Alpha and Omega (God and His Son) is the source of the New Heaven and New Earth. (Revelation 21:1-8)
	• Satan's deceivers (Anti-Christ and his followers) are at work to lie and pervert the truth...Their new home will eventually be "the lake of fire." (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12; Revelation 20:10)

Summary

• New Agers are under spiritual delusion...rejecting the truth in favor of a sinister lie.
  
  
• Christ's love can penetrate the New Agers' spiritual blindness.
  
  
• As Christians, our job is to approach New Agers patiently and demonstrate God's love.
  
  
• Christians should see New Agers as people created in God's image...and really care about their salvation.
  
  
• By laboring patiently and prayerfully with New Agers, we can bring them to Christ.
  
  
• One thing that is important...don't water down the truth. New Age thinking is wrong…and will lead those who think like that straight to a devil's hell. It is not the job of a Christian to convict the hearts of the New Agers...It is our job to tell them the truth...and then let the real spirit, the Holy Spirit, work in their lives to convince them that what we are presenting and living is true?

How can we explain to them the truth...and how to live a spirit filled, God enriched life...if we are not living one ourselves?

Our character, our demeanor, our actions should be unquestionable as to why we believe what we do!

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever."

Jesus Christ...our Savior said it best himself: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me."

Continually tell and live that truth...and the lies of Satan will be diminished in the minds of the sinner.
