GOD'S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE
Turn your questions over to the One who knows you best
Should I Ask God for Help or Should I Do It On my Own?
As we contemplate decisions in our lives, what and when should we ask for
our Heavenly Father's help?
The Proper Way to Ask God for Help!
- Don't ask when the answer is already given.
- Don't cheat on God!
- When we are challenged by the world's assault on our spirit, we should
listen intently for God to answer us as we signal for His help.
- When we reach our goal (Mother in the "Mother, May I" game...and God in
the game of life), we will know we have been successful in our journey to win the game.
- Winning the game means we were not caught cheating and we asked
every time we were told to move (Mother in the Mother, May I game).
- Getting to the goal in our journey home as a Christian means we
played by the rules and we humbled ourselves and asked for God's
forgiveness when we didn't play by the rules.
- Learn the imperatives of the Christian life as a "born again"
child of God.
- Listening and obeying, Reading and heeding, Hearing and doing...
- Basically, all of the imperatives seem to move in the same
direction.

Summary: Turn your questions over to the One who knows you best...and what is best for you!
-
Turn your fears, cares, and tears over to God, the Father.
Philippians 3:12-14, "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have
already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which
Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider
myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is
behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to
win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
